State Water Heater group offers a range of solutions for water heating needs, with the State Select Water Heater being one of their trademark lines .

Company Overview

State Water Heaters was founded in 1946 by Herbert Lindahl in Nashville, Tennessee. The company produced its first water heater in 1948 and grew to become one of the world's largest water heater manufacturers by 1996 . In the same year, State introduced the Premium and Select lines.

Product Lines

State's products cater primarily to residential use and come in various sizes and types, including gas, propane, tankless, electric, heat pump, and commercial models .

State Select Water Heater – Electric

The electric models are classified into six main categories:

  1. High Efficiency: Designed for energy efficiency with thick insulation foam and heat trappers. Available in 40 to 80-gallon capacities .
  2. Residential: The most common line, offering tall, short, and lowboy models. Tank sizes range from 30 to 119 gallons .
  3. Table Top: Designed for kitchen use with a flat upper surface and 36" height. Available in 27 and 40-gallon capacities .
  4. Junior: Space-friendly models with tank capacities ranging from 6 to 38 gallons .
  5. Point-of-Use: Suitable for low-demand situations, such as office lavatories or remote restrooms. The ES6 2 SSUS K model has a 2.5-gallon capacity .
  6. Solar Booster Tanks: Designed to supplement solar water heating systems. Available in 80 and 119-gallon capacities .

  • Most models come with a six-year warranty for tanks and component parts, with an option to upgrade to a 10-year warranty for some models .
  • Maximum working pressure of 150 psi .
  • Glass-lined tanks for protection against corrosion and rust .
